Smart City Expo Atlanta is the first event of its kind in North America – putting industry leaders, venture capitalists and policy-makers together to re-define what it means for a city to be “smart with equity, prosperity, humanity, inclusion and justice.”

Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms helped kick-off the 3-day event, which is affiliated with the Smart City Expo World Congress. Meanwhile, I caught up with Chief Information Officer Gary Brantley and Department of Corrections Chief Patrick Labat as they made their way through the packed roster of panels and speakers at the Expo.
