Before Atlanta City Attorney Nina Hickson was selected by Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms to fill her current post, she served many high-profile roles, including Chief Presiding Judge for the Fulton County Juvenile Court. It was during that time, Judge Hickson emerged as one of Georgia’s fiercest advocates in the fight against child sex-trafficking – helping to lead the way to major changes in state law that further helped protect young victims from being exploited.

This week, in part because of her foundational work, she was honored by Women Looking Ahead News Magazine as a recipient of its Law and Justice Award. We congratulate City Attorney Nina Hickson for her leadership on this important issue.
