October 11th is the 31st anniversary of National Coming Out Day, a time dedicated to celebrating the people who have come out as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) or simply as a supporter of those who made the choice to make their orientation known.

The City of Atlanta’s Department of LGBTQ Affairs is highlighting the coming out stories of several people in our community. Pat Hussain, Matthew Parkey, Pamela Stewart and Atlanta City Councilman Antonio Brown shared their deeply personal experiences Рto give insight to others who might be considering coming out as well.
