In fifty years, seventy-percent of the world’s population will be living in urban centers. The need to find creative ways to develop local agriculture will be more important than ever. Leveraging technology and unused spaces to grow food will be critical to the success of that effort.

Education, IoT and future farming technology, economic development and community engagement are all key components of the project. Winners of the challenge will incorporate a wide variety of farming concepts from hydroponics to harvesting insects.
