The Great Recession may be over, but unfortunately for some families, the mortgage crisis that helped create it is still going strong. Atlanta was one of many cities hit during that time. But the good news is there’s help available through the HomeSafe Georgia Mortgage Program.
Atlanta Chief Housing Officer Terri Lee recently joined state officials to host an event where residents could receive financial assistance to save their homes. More than fifteen-thousand homeowners in Georgia have already been helped, and thousands more right here in Atlanta may be able to qualify.
If you didn’t get a chance to participate, don’t worry. The program will be available through March.
