A year ago, the Center for Workforce Innovation was just a novel idea. Today, under the guidance of Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, the Center – based at Atlanta Technical College – is a reality, touching the lives of students who want a step up in their careers. The highly-focused jobs training program is a unique public-private partnership between the city, the college, the Atlanta Committee for Progress and companies like Delta Air Lines, The Home Depot, SunTrust, Georgia Power and Intercontinental Exchange.

The five partnering corporations will invest two million dollars to pilot three career tracks including aircraft technical skills, information technology, and skilled trades. The idea is simple: help the students reach new heights.
