In a poignant and emotional ceremony, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, The Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs and the Atlanta Children’s Memorial Taskforce recently unveiled a special art exhibition at City Hall to honor the victims of the Atlanta Child Murders.
The Mayor’s Gallery is currently hosting selected pieces from the more than one hundred artworks that were submitted by local artists. The exhibition at City Hall will run through February 6.
Artist Dwayne Mitchell won the commission to paint the portraits memorializing the young victims. Those paintings will be displayed in the Atrium of Hartsfield Jackson International Airport from May 28 through July 22.
