This week, two-year-old Lorenzo Lopez made headlines after managing to get on a Spirit Airlines baggage conveyor belt and taking a five-minute ride through the inner workings of the luggage system at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport.

First responders from the Atlanta Police Department, the airport’s Mobile Medical Unit and Atlanta Fire Rescue – along with workers from the TSA – quickly rescued the little boy and reunited him with his mother. Edith Vega told police she was trying to get a boarding pass at the Spirit Airlines kiosk when little Lorenzo made his way onto the conveyor belt.

The toddler was treated by paramedics for an injury to his hand before being transported in good condition to an area hospital with his mother.
