Commemorating World AIDS Day is an important way to recognize the vital roles that communities, activists, educators, healthcare professionals and others play in helping to call attention to the illness and to continue the pursuit of a cure.

Artists in Atlanta have also taken a prominent leadership role in trying to erase the stigma of HIV/AIDS. That stigma often keeps people from getting the resources and medical attention they need out of fear that others may look at them differently.

We went back to the Transformation Tunnel mural on the Westside Beltline, to talk about its powerful message of hope and defiance with two of the artists who helped make the mural a reality as part of the Living Walls project.
