Census 2020 may fall on April Fool’s Day, but it’s definitely no joke. The data collected every ten years is used to determine political representation and how federal funds are allocated across the country. An accurate count is very important to cities like Atlanta, to make sure residents get every federal dollar their communities are entitled to. This helps with everything from infrastructure and roads to schools and affordable housing.
And Atlanta’s young people will play a big part in the success of the census count here, going door to door to spread the word and to help bridge the digital divide that may keep some residents from participating. Remember, YOU count! To learn more about Census2020… click here.
